Tons of clusters, delicious flavors, and health benefits in this incredible nut and seed granola
I made homemade granola for the first time not too long ago… store bought granola will never compare!!! Homemade tastes so much better, is easily customizable to your liking, and contains better-for-you and higher quality ingredients. It makes the entire house smell amazing while baking and is a perfect snack!
I top my yogurt bowls with this granola, eat it in a bowl with some milk, or just grab a handful when I’m on the go. Any way you decide to enjoy it, it is DELICIOUS!!! This recipe is adapted from Ambitious Kitchen. I’ll also be listing different flavor variations you can try out! Full recipe below :)
Best ever healthy granola
Gluten, dairy, and refined sugar free
2 cups oats
2 tbsp flax seeds
2 tbsp chia seeds
2 tbsp sesame seeds
1/4 cup hemp seeds
2-3 cups nuts/seeds of choice, I did 1/2 cup each: pecans, walnuts, almonds, and pumpkin seeds
1 cup coconut flakes (not shredded coconut!)
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp flaky sea salt
1/4 cup coconut oil or olive oil
1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
1 tsp vanilla
In a small saucepan or microwave, heat the coconut oil, maple syrup, and vanilla until melted and smooth.
Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix until the wet mixture has coated everything. Spread the mixture on a parchment lined baking sheet in an even layer. The key to big granola clusters is making a thick, packed together layer. If you don’t like lots of clusters, you can spread it out thinly on the baking sheet.
Bake at 300F for 30-35 minutes or until slightly golden brown.
Remove from oven and cool completely, then store in container in the fridge.
Try out some of the different flavor combinations below to mix it up!
